About The Vital Breath

The Vital Breath is a love story of two soul mates. Through the practice of Yoga, four distinct characters from four different religions gain greater attunement to their bodies, emotions, political tolerance and, ultimately, their spirits. The purpose of the novel is to heighten individual consciousness of global Ahimsa, resistance through non-violence.

The message the authors communicate through this book is, with the practice of Yoga, individuals can raise their own consciousness, personally and socially, and promote and attain equality of the human soul. This is a change that may, at some point, have been previously unattainable.

The central metaphor of The Vital Breath is the physical, social, and spiritual betterment of mankind. The authors take the reader on a gripping multi-century journey, in which the roots of the partition of India and Pakistan and the effects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in America are explored.

"A Journey to Self-Discovery,"

September 12, 2005, Hillsborough Beacon - By M. McCloud

"As for my own views on the book, I loved it, but some of it was very cerebral. You have to think about it if you want to appreciate it on its many levels. On a basic story level, it deals with finding one's soul mate and true love.

However, half the fun of reading the book is finding the parallels between the characters who live more than a century apart, for on a deeper level, "The Vital Breath" is about reincarnation and second chances. Through yoga techniques, both couples meet, live, and discover "the vital breath."

Messrs. Wahi and Narula incorporate yoga techniques with gentle lessons about the value of embracing other cultures and religions for all time.

This book is a wonderful way to discover "the vital breath" within all of us, for we all have the capacity to find it. The beautiful descriptions and the tremendous insight into the characters' thoughts and feelings is well worth the read. I highly recommend this gentle, yet powerful book."
