The original oil painting was created by Veru Narula in his studio and captured a fleeting moment. Each print is created at an Atelier in Los Angeles that actually is so pristine that it at times surpasses the amazing recessional effect of the original. Additionally, each print is unique because a textured gel applied by hand at the Atelier to the top waves to give a glistening effect. She emerges after a 1000-year slumber due to her own introspection. There is a physics property of light called “Total Internal Reflection”, in which, a light ray hits a surface and cannot shine through at a critical angle, and reflects back on itself. I thought this property of physics was metaphoric about the journey we face as humans. Sometimes we have to reflect internally in order to Emerge.
